Here’s where things actually stand going into 2025. The ratings below come from G2, Capterra, and assorted community threads. I haven’t run any of these through my own workflow, so treat the scores as crowd-sourced signal, not a hands-on review from me.
- Midjourney – still the pick for stylized, artistic output (4.7/5)
- DALL-E 3 – OpenAI’s generator, decent at following prompts literally (4.5/5)
- Stable Diffusion – open source, runs locally if you’ve got the GPU for it (4.3/5)
- Adobe Firefly – trained on licensed content, safer bet for commercial use (4.4/5)
- Leonardo.ai – creative platform with a lot of fine-grained control over the output (4.2/5)
